True Romance

True Romance bar in Newtown borrows from Quentin Tarantino's filmography. That old dive bar feels paste-up walls, moody red lighting, and old eclectic rock sound with a quintessential vintage colour palette. The logo design itself takes inspiration from the late 70's early 80's rocker DIY statement tees. (Think Patti Smith, Richard Hell, and Alice Cooper). During the design process, the logo was hand-sketched. Rough cut to add distinctive edges and shapes, then scanned and traced using Adobe Illustrator before a final polish. I was involved in the creative direction of the venue interior, and content shoots. Painting, and management of all social channels and website. Collaborating with @tanjabruckner with photography.
