Look At That! it's a Freelance job

In May, we launched a new podcast called Virtual Book Tour which is growing fast and is already one of the top book podcasts in the US. (Learn more at virtualbooktour.com and "check it out on Spotify or Apple!!”) We’re looking for a witty, high-energy Interview Writer / Show Writer to help make our show the best it can be. Our goal is to scale Virtual Book Tour into a show that appeals to a broad audience of culturally interested listeners and highlights our authors and their books in a fun and interesting way.

Note: We are looking for someone who is based in NYC and able to attend and participate in frequent events at our office.

What You’ll Do:

Read novels and research authors for upcoming episodes
Draft content and questions for our hosts, and refine as needed
Help develop other types of podcast formats, such as “mail bag” episodes, member participation, etc.

Qualifications:

Experience writing and/or producing successful podcasts and other content series
Experience writing questions for interviews, whether written, podcast or visual
Humor writing is a plus
Interest in contemporary fiction and authors is very important!
Familiarity with and understanding of the BOTM brand
Ambition to break the mold and raise the level of what an author/book-focused series can be
4+ years of work experience
